HP ENVY Laptop 17-cg1001na Touchscreen
Sporting a 17.3″ diagonal FHD IPS, powered by an Intel Core i7 and an NVIDIA® GeForce® MX450 graphics card, can handle photo/video editing and gaming fairly well. Its memory capacity is no joke – 16 GB memory; 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD storage – so this laptop can serve as your main workhorse. At $1,399, this device is competitive with others of its kind in the market.
HP Chromebook x360 12b-ca0004na Convertible Laptop
This HP Chromebook sits squarely in the budget laptop zone. If you need to run Windows for any specialized software or games, you’ll be better served elsewhere. On the other hand, with Chrome OS, you get an affordable device able to perform basic tasks using the Google suite of online software (Chrome, Docs, Drive, Spreadsheet, etc…) with an incredible battery life (11 hours). The device features a touchscreen 12″ diagonal HD+ IPS micro-edge display (1366 x 912) – compatible with a pen – that can be folded backward to simulate a tablet, or into a tent for watching a video in style.

This one’s a powerhouse. Powered by an Intel® Core™ i7-10750H, NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3060, it can handle most processor-intensive tasks. In particular, the high-end graphics card can handle broadcasting to a 4k 1080p external monitor. Additionally, it sports large enough RAM – 16 GB memory – to handle multiple programs at once, and massive memory – 512 GB PCIe® SSD and 1 TB HDD storage – to store those programs along with thousands of photos, videos, and other documents. At $1,489.99, though, it’s positioned among the higher end of HP’s selection.
